Bloomberg revealed that the new corona virus affects men more than women. An analysis report showed about 45,000 cases in China, showing that the death rate was 2.8% for men and 1.7% for women. Men constituted a slight majority of the affected people, with 51%.

One theory says that men, especially in China, smoke more cigarettes than women, therefore they have weak lungs, which makes them vulnerable to virus infection.

Also, cardiovascular diseases, which are closely related to deaths due to "Covid-19" are more common in men in general.

But as the virus spreads globally, women seem to bear the brunt of the social and economic turmoil, caused by the pandemic's transition to the pandemic stage, as the World Health Organization recently announced.

Meanwhile, South Korea registered the lowest number of new cases of coronavirus in three weeks, at a time when Ghana and Gabon became the ninth and tenth countries in sub-Saharan Africa to report infections, Kenya also joined the list of countries that announce the presence of people living in it with the virus.

China announced eight new infections, the lowest number in the country since the virus statistics began in mid-January, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 80,813 so far. Among the new cases, five cases were recorded in Wuhan, the Ministry of Health announced seven more deaths, the total deaths is now 3,176.

In South Korea, the authorities announced today, the lowest number of new cases, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that 110 new cases were recorded, bringing the total number of patients in South Korea to 7979 cases, the number of patients who fully recovered and left the hospitals is 177.
