The ny Governor Andrew Mark Cuomo has announced 671 new deaths in NY state's due to Coronavirus, in a very significant decline in the daily toll compared to previous days, considering that the worst has been overlooked.

Cuomo said at a press conference today, Monday, that the general death toll from Coronavirus in New York State has increased by 671 new cases, to reach 10056 deaths after it had been at the level of 9385 on Sunday.

This number represents the lowest daily rate of Coronavirus deaths within the state in a week, and indicates a significant decline in the outcome of the day, which is 758 cases.

Cuomo also pointed to a major decrease in the number of new patients who were transferred to the hospital during the past 24 hours compared to the previous statistic, as this rate fell to about 2000 after it had been at the level of 2500 Sunday.

"We are controlling the spread of the Coronavirus... I think we can say that the worst is over," he declared, commenting on these numbers.

Cuomo stressed, however, that the plan to reopen public institutions and the state’s economy should be in stages, stressing that a decision to do so would be made based on expert opinions, not politicians.
